SUMMER CAMP 2012 - Get ready for the biggest event of the Scouting year. The whole gang sets out for a week of real honest-to-goodness outdoor SCOUTING. New scouts can experience the thrill of camping outdoors, while the older scouts can renew old friendships and help the new scouts learn those first rank advancements. Everyone will work on Merit Badges.

WHAT TO BRING: Complete Scout Uniform (Shirt, Pants/Shorts, Belt)
Coat Hanger for Scout Uniform
Two Pair of Shoes (NO OPEN TOE SHOES ALLOWED)
Pants, Shirts, Underwear, Socks, Sweatshirt or Jacket, Raingear, Swim Trunks, Hat
Towels (2) – Swimming and Shower
Toilet Kit (Soap, Washcloth, Toothbrush, Toothpaste)
Sleeping Bag and Pillow
Notebook and Pencils/Pens – for merit badge sessions
Small Backpack (School Book Bag) – for taking to merit badge sessions
Footlocker or plastic tote for clothes and personal items (backpacks not recommended)
Flashlight w/ Extra Batteries
Scout Handbook
Spending Money – Trading Post (suggest $10.00, $20.00 max)
Money for Merit Badge (See Merit Badge Instruction/Program)
First Aid Kit – See Scout Handbook
Watch – NOT OPTIONAL
Insect Repellent – NO AERSOL CANS !!!! This means no spray deorant, shaving cream, hair spray, air fresheners etc.....
Sunscreen
Camp chair (lawn chair, folding bag chair, or campstool)
Compass – for orienteering merit badge
Clothes for swimming merit badge – long pants, long sleeve button front shirt, belt, shoes (required to jump into the water with these on, so they will get wet!)
Snacks – we eat very well at camp. If you want to bring your own snacks, they MUST BE KEPT IN THE FOOD BOX – NO FOOD IN TENTS. Put snacks in a plastic bag labeled with your name. We’ll put all the snacks in an animal resistant container for safekeeping and transportation to camp.
Snacks are limited to one 1 gallon ziplock bag per scout – no hard plastic containers.
